The Effect of Marijuana
Prohibition on Children:
Most children who use marijuana find that it
is easier to get than cigarettes or alcohol.
By prohibiting marijuana a very lucrative
black market has been created. It has become
so immense in the last 30 years that huge
amounts of children find the ease and
rewards of selling drugs to be a compelling
alternative to working hard in school (25%
of Florida children do not graduate). In
fact 24% of all drug dealers today are
between the ages of 8 and 17 and they are
financially motivated to get your kids to do
drugs.
For parents who do not want their kids to
smoke marijuana simply do not support any
politician that think criminals should
regulate marijuana instead of our government
through licensed outlets. FYI: Cigarettes
and alcohol are almost always the precursors
to illegal drug use, so the most sure fire
way to keep your kids off marijuana is to
keep them from trying tobacco and alcohol. |
